ADAPTACIÓN Y PRUEBA DE UNA ESCALA DE ORIENTACIÓN HACIA LA SUSTENTABILIDAD EN NIÑOS DE SEXTO AÑO DE EDUCACIÓN BÁSICA

El objetivo de la investigación que presentamos fue probar la pertinencia de una versión
adaptada de la escala de Orientación a la Sustentabilidad –previamente confi abilizada y
validada estadísticamente por Fraijo, Tapia y Corral (2007) en estudiantes universitarios–
aplicada en alumnos de educación básica mediante el uso de software en su modalidad
web. La muestra fue conformada por 201 niños que cursaban sexto año de primaria en

Hermosillo, México. Los resultados permitieron confi rmar las propiedades psicomé-
tricas y con ello la viabilidad de la adecuación realizada a la batería de instrumentos

en su aplicación a niños. Con los resultados se pretende generar un mayor interés en
la investigación de educación ambiental en nivel básico y en el uso de estrategias de
medición alternativas como las tecnologías de información y comunicación.
Abstract:
Th e objective of the research presented was to test the relevance of an adapted version
of the scale of Orientation to Sustainability, previously validated statistically and
found reliable by Fraijo, Tapia, and Corral (2007) among university students. Th e test
was applied to elementary school students through the use of software on the web.
Th e sample consisted of 201 children in the sixth grade, in Hermosillo, Mexico. Th e
results permitted a confi rmation of the psychometric properties and thus the viability
of the adjustment made to the battery of instruments in their use with children. With
the results, the purpose is to generate greater interest in researching environmental
education at the elementary level and in using alternative measurement strategies such
as information and communication technology.
