Resumen:
En un gran número de tesis de maestría y doctorado se consigna en el capí-
tulo metodológico que el trabajo se ha realizado desde el enfoque de la teoría
fundamentada y con apoyo de un software computacional para la codificación.
El presente ensayo propone que el círculo hermenéutico, de la anticipación de
sentido a la comprensión (Gadamer, Ritsert), es una noción más pertinente para
orientar el diálogo del intérprete con el texto o del investigador con los procesos
socio-culturales. A la vez, el círculo hermenéutico, aborda la relación de las partes
y el todo, el texto y el contexto, que Geertz revivió bajo el nombre de descripción
densa. De ahí que se enfatiza la importancia de la descripción por encima de las
operaciones de codificación promovidas por paqueterías computacionales.
Abstract:
A large number of master’s and doctoral theses state in the methodological chap-
ter that work has been performed from the focus of proven theory and with the
support of computer software for codification. This essay proposes that the her-
meneutic circle, from the anticipation of meaning to comprehension (Gadamer,
Ritsert), is a notion that is more pertinent to orient the interpreter’s dialog with
the text, or the researcher with sociocultural processes. At the same time, the
hermeneutic circle addresses the relation of the parts to the whole, the text and
the context, which Geertz revived under the name of dense description. Thus
emphasized is the importance of description over the operations of codification
promoted by computer packages.
