El objetivo de la investigación que se presenta en este artículo fue contribuir a la
configuración y el desarrollo del campo de estudio de la educación ambiental con
menores en Iberoamérica. Para ello, se realizó una revisión bibliométrica de 179
artículos escritos en español en los últimos veinte años. La revisión se realizó a
través de las bases de datos SciELO, JSTOR, Redalyc, Dialnet, el Repositorio de la
Universidad de Chile, así como en una revista especializada. Se encontró que existe
una progresión creciente pero discontinua en las publicaciones, el país con más
estudios es España, la revista con más artículos es Luna Azul y las investigaciones
son, principalmente, de tipo empírico y cualitativo. Se describen tendencias temá-
ticas tales como la utilización de metodologías innovadoras, el uso didáctico de los
animales o la educación ambiental comunitaria.
Abstract:
The aim of the research presented in this article was to contribute to the configura-
tion and development of the field of environmental education with minors in Latin
America. For this reason, a bibliometric review was completed of 179 articles written
in Spanish in the past twenty years. The review was based on the use of the SciELO,
JSTOR, Redalyc, and Dialnet databases, the collection of Universidad de Chile,
and a specialized journal. The findings showed that a growing but discontinuous
progression exists in the publications, that the country with the highest number
of studies is Spain, that the journal with the most articles is Luna Azul, and that
the research is primarily of an empirical and qualitative nature. Thematic trends
are described, such as the utilization of innovative methodologies, the didactic use
of animals, and community environmental education.
